The Paul Dennis Science hall features hands-on activities guaranteed to entertain both kids and adults. Their newest installment is The Hurricane Simulator and Augmented Reality Exhibit. The Hurricane Simulator can produce Class 1 hurricane winds up to a speed of 78 miles per hour. The Hurricane Simulator offers the exciting experience of being in a hurricane in a safe, risk free environment. The Augmented Reality exhibit offers free and fun activities. Augmented Reality is a live, direct, or indirect view of a real world environment using enhanced computer generated sensory input to enhance the perception of reality. Simply put, it’s a fun, new, and exciting way to experience your surroundings. The Galaxy Gift Shop even offers Augmented Reality 3D books and Learning cards so you can take the fun home.

The Ingram Planetarium’s Sky Theater allows guests to go on new adventures in the universe through an exciting cinematic experience. The Sky Theater offers four different shows, including Undiscovered Worlds, which takes you to distant planets and gives a good look at the skies and valleys of other planets. An exciting live Star Show follows all Sky Theater viewings.

Laser Music Shows are another thrilling activity offered by The Ingram Planetarium. The planetarium plays visually stunning laser light performances that are synced up to music from popular bands like U2, Metallica, and Led Zeppelin – aiming to please both music buffs and aspiring scientists.
