Family Fun Awaits at Battleship Alive!

Battleship Alive! is a great, interactive event in Wilmington for the whole family. Taking place this coming Saturday, December 5 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM – bring the kids to this fun event!

Here, you will be able to watch and interact with World War II living history interpreters who will bring the USS North Carolina Battleship to life through the re-enactment of daily duties and drills. Be sure to bring your adventurous spirit, curiosity, questions, and cameras!

Background

This battleship was the first of 10 fast battleships to be built for WWII and was part of every major naval operation in the Pacific during the war. When the ship was commissioned in 1941 it was considered to be the world’s greatest sea weapon. Guests can choose from different educational programs and tours when you stop in and watch history come to life.
